Confirmation Class – Spring 2026

Confirmation is an important milestone in the United Methodist Church, inviting students to explore their faith, ask questions, and decide for themselves what it means to follow Jesus and belong to the church.

This class is primarily designed for 8th and 9th grade students, with an open invitation to any students in 8th grade and up who feel ready to participate.

Students will learn about Christian faith, basic theology, Methodist history and beliefs, and what it means to live as part of a faith community. On Confirmation Sunday, students may choose to publicly affirm their faith and become professing members of the church.

Class Details:
Start Date: January 11
Meeting Time: Sundays, 9:30–10:30 AM
No class: First Sunday of each month or Mother’s Day
Confirmation Sunday: June 7

Pastor Lucas will serve as the primary instructor, with support from other adult mentors.

A Confirmation retreat / overnighter (date TBD) is included as part of the experience.

Students who have not yet been baptized may be baptized on Confirmation Sunday, which is a common option in the United Methodist Church.

Cost: $100
(This covers curriculum, supplies, and retreat expenses.)
